Week In Review:

First week of training for the Weymouth Woods 100K on January 16th, 2016. Started at around 70 miles for this week and I am planning on building up to 85-90 miles when I peak in 2-3 weeks. Overall, this was a great week in terms of mileage, but I was sick for majority it so most of my runs were not what I would have liked as far as pace goes. This coming up week will be 75 miles on the dot before hoping up to 87 the following week. Excited to be able to run outside more when I get back to Charlotte instead of just on the treadmill.

Tentative 2016 Racing Schedule:

January 16th, 2016 – Weymouth Woods 100K (Southern Pines, NC)
February 13th, 2016 – Martha’s Vineyard 20 Miler (Martha’s Vineyard, MA)
March 13th, 2016 – Tobacco Road Marathon (Durham, NC)
May 13th, 2016 – Twilight 5K (Charlotte, NC)
May 29th, 2016 – Memorial Day Trail Race 8 Mile (Charlotte, NC)
June, 2016 – Summer Track Series 1 Mile, 2 Mile, 5K (Charlotte, NC)
June 9th, 2016 – River Jam Run 6.5 Mile (Charlotte, NC)
July 4th, 2016 – Spectacular 4 Miler (Charlotte, NC)
July 14th, 2016 – River Jam Run 6.5 Mile (Charlotte, NC)
July 22nd, 2016 – Tread Nightly Half Marathon (Charlotte, NC)
August 11th, 2016 – River Jam Run 6.5 Mile (Charlotte, NC)
October 8th, 2016 – B.A.A Half Marathon (Boston, MA)
November 6th, 2016 – New York City Marathon (New York, NY)
November 24th, 2016 – Turkey Trot 8K (Charlotte, NC)

I have also attached my tentative racing schedule for all of 2016. Most of these races are set, but it is likely that a few could change. My current plan is to train for the Weymouth Woods 100K in January and the Tobacco Road Marathon in March, and then take a break from longer distances until I start training for the New York City Marathon sometime in late July. I have included some short road races and multiple track races because I really want to lower some of my high school PR's. There are also quite a few trail races at the USNWC center in Charlotte, NC that I thought would be lots of fun. One of the races I am most looking forward to though is the B.A.A Half Marathon because this race is practically in my backyard now that I go to school in Waltham, MA.
